Full – Time Science Teacher – Basingstoke, Hampshire GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Basingstoke. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds and contribute to students’ academic success across Key Stages 3 and 4. The start date is flexible, with opportunities to begin in February/ Easter 2025 or as soon as notice periods allow and pay rate is £30k to £50k per year from ECT through to upper pay scale. A permanent contract will be offered following a successful probation period. Role: As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and innovative lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, fostering a love for science and encouraging academic excellence. Responsibilities of the Science Teacher : Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum. Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Science. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of all students. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the Science department. Participate in school-wide initiatives, events, and activities to enhance the learning experience. Requirements of the Science Teacher : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Specialism in any Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics). A passion for teaching and the ability to engage students of all abilities. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
