Claims Handler (Commercial) - Carrickfergus - Permanent

Location: Carrickfergus
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working offered
Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m, evenings and weekends off

The Role:
1. Ensure that daily workflow is managed efficiently.
2. Taking first notification of accidents/losses from clients and arranging onward reporting to insurers, as well as managing the claim to settlement.
3. Ability to display a combined level of empathy and competency is essential.
4. Provide an expert and prompt service to all stakeholders.
5. Day-to-day management of new and existing claims at the highest possible level of customer service, including administration.
6. Any additional duties or projects deemed necessary and reasonable by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Maths
2. Previous experience working within the general insurance industry in a busy office environment
3. Working knowledge of insurance systems
4. Customer service experience
5. Basic knowledge of Excel
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
7. Ability to work to multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy
