Description
Statutory accounts
1. Preparation of the Group's interim and year end consolidated statutory accounts under IFRS
2. Be the main contact for the auditors and ensure all deliverables are provided
3. Be the main contact for the external accountants who prepare the statutory accounts for the subsidiaries and who prepare the tax computations and manage the process
4. Research and keep up to date with the latest developments in accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the Group
Monthly management accounts
1. Be responsible for the preparation of the monthly Group balance sheet and cash flow statement
2. Preparation of the monthly PLC financial Board report
Other
1. Cashflow management
2. Responsibility for the payment of Corporation tax which includes calculating the quarterly instalment payments
3. Review of the quarterly VAT return prior to submission
4. Preparation of the quarterly bank covenant report
5. Undertake ad hoc finance-based project work and provide support to the Finance Director
Profile
1. ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally having trained with a top 20 accountancy firm and worked as an auditor
2. Up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
3. Statutory accounts preparation experience
4. Experience of consolidations
5. Strong Excel skills
6. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and numeracy
7. Works on own initiative
8. Ability to work to tight deadlines
9. Strong teamwork ethos
10. Ability to communicate detail clearly and concisely
