OUTSIDE IR35 - Start date early as 1st February 2025
The Project Engineer role will be on contract outside IR35, offering a 60-65 hourly rate. Initially, the successful Project Engineer will be engaged on a contract of 6 months, although this is likely to extend subject to satisfactory performance. The scope of work is primarily delivering heavy modification on one of the key plants, relied on to manage the installation and plant commissioning to get the plant up and running.
The Project Engineer will join a global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of chemical products on a COMAH site in Runcorn. A major investment has been approved that will see expansion and operational improvements throughout the company.
The design phase of the initial works is complete; therefore, as Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the installation, construction, and commissioning to ensure the work is managed and delivered effectively.
Role Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
* Handling and delivering key chemical plant scope of works primarily focused on modification to existing plant and expansion of new across Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation.
* Supporting the operation and plant commissioning to get the plant up and running.
* Taking on work at a key stage in the project lifecycle (installation, construction, commissioning).
* Managing contractors and team.
* Budget management - managing work against budget.
We are in search of a Project Engineer with a strong understanding of delivery within a high hazard / COMAH manufacturing environment. A number of engineering backgrounds will be considered, although with the majority of the work covering ME&I, we are particularly interested in speaking with anyone from a Mechanical, Chemical / Process, Electrical, or Instrumentation background.
