Who we are:
Located in South Norfolk, we operate Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication, and Technical Design departments from our offices and manufacturing facility. We primarily engage in projects within the commercial, industrial, agricultural, and utility sectors and have a close working relationship with Anglian Water, focusing on both Potable and Waste Water sites.
Job Summary:
With continually increasing sales, we are looking to expand our workforce. We are seeking a Workshop Electrician to wire and test panels and motors on an industrial product for the water industry within our facility in South Norfolk. This role will be workshop-based, and you will also be required to carry out general maintenance and repair around the offices/workshops.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
* Read and interpret electrical drawings.
* Liaise competently with the project management/engineering team.
* Supervise a team of varying levels of ability, including mentoring electrical apprentices.
* Carry out necessary checks and quality assurance of products as per specifications.
* Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to Health and Safety procedures at all times.
* Maintain equipment in a safe, clean, and good working order.
* Assist with any other tasks as required in line with business needs and your skill set and experience.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Full UK Driving License with flexibility to travel as required.
* Experience as a Time Served Electrician with a relevant Apprenticeship standard or Degree level qualification.
* Industrial and Commercial Installation Experience.
* Approved Electrical ECS Card or similar CSCS affiliated scheme.
* 18th Edition Training.
* Ability to use your own initiative to solve problems.
* Attention to detail and quality.
* Possess a ‘can do’ attitude.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
* PASMA/IPAF certification.
* First Aid at Work certificate.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: £16.50 - £19.00 per hour D.O.E. Pay is calculated depending on your qualification and experience within the industry.
