Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive EMEA Indirect Tax Operations Manager to join our established global tax team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a tax professional looking to deepen their expertise in indirect tax compliance while working across multiple jurisdictions in the EMEA region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely VAT compliance and reporting, assisting with audits, and enhancing tax risk management processes across various EMEA jurisdictions. This role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance, drive operational efficiencies, and implement best practices in tax operations.
In addition to core compliance responsibilities, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to global indirect tax projects, including overseas VAT registrations, e-filing initiatives, evaluating the impact of new tax legislation, and supporting tax authority audits.

Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with finance and key stakeholders to enhance indirect tax reporting through our indirect tax platform.
* Process financial data from the Finance Operations team and integrate it into the Indirect Tax platform.
* Oversee the preparation, review, and timely submission of VAT filings across the EMEA region.
* Oversee and manage the payment processes, ensuring accurate and timely tax payments.
* Manage the EMEA Indirect Tax Compliance calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.
* Review exception reports generated by the tax platform, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
* Maintain and update the VAT risk and control matrix, ensuring it reflects current regulations and operational risks.
* Support EMEA Indirect Tax Manager in implementing strong internal controls to mitigate VAT risks and ensure accuracy in tax filings.
* Conduct periodic reviews of tax compliance processes to identify and address gaps.
* Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure tax considerations are embedded in business decisions.
* Provide guidance on VAT treatment for business transactions to ensure compliance.
* Support EMEA Indirect Tax Manager in internal and external audits queries.
* May Liaise with third-party advisors as needed.
Key skills and experience to be evidenced within your application include:
* Part qualified Professional tax/accounting qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) (study support provided)
* Previous experience in a VAT related role.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
* An ability to work within a strict timetable and deadlines.
* Driven to improve processes.
