In partnership with our chosen supplier, we have embarked on our digital excellence journey to implement an Electronic Patient System (EPR) that will transform the quality of care for our patients and staff by having instantly accessible information using the latest mobile technology, reducing paper usage and utilizing clinical decision support tools.
The Patient Systems Trainer will be part of a specialist team of multi-skilled digital professionals responsible for delivering training to colleagues to facilitate the use of the new EPR.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team, providing an excellent service to our end users. This role will be both a trainer and E-Learning package creator in a team that provides knowledge, development, and support to system users.
The successful post-holder will be based at Harrogate District Hospital and may sometimes work from home to support teams and system users with various remote working solutions.
You will be able to demonstrate a defined track record of training and promoting the importance of high-quality learning to users.

Job responsibilities
The Patient Systems Team are specialist multi-skilled information professionals responsible for the administration, support, management, training, and further development of the Trust's Patient and Information systems, such as PCS, eRS, Ascom, Dragon Medical (Dragon Medical Workflow Manager and Dragon Medical One), Endosoft, Patientrack, EPMA (Medchart), ICE, SystmOne, and WebV, used by teams across the acute and community-based services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join the Patient Systems Team to deliver high-quality learning both face-to-face and online. The creation of structured lesson plans and educational E-Learning packages will also be required. You will provide specialist knowledge and support to system users, be committed to service delivery, and continual customer-focused improvement.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to diploma level or equivalent experience.
* Training qualification or equivalent experience of training delivery/planning.
* ITIL Qualification.
Experience
* Experience of comprehensive patient systems to support the provision of patient care.
* Previous NHS experience.
Skills and Knowledge
* Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills.
* Training Skills.
* Interpersonal skills including the ability to influence, persuade, and motivate.
* Knowledge of systems process and administration.
* Ability to work under pressure and produce high-quality work to tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of NHS data definitions and data standards.
* Knowledge of data validation and quality assurance systems.
