Property Maintenance Operative – Environment
Location – Norwich
Purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for the upkeep of both external & internal areas. This will include external ground areas including Barnaby Meadow, car parks & internal maintenance where necessary. The ability to be flexible with tasks & work to complete tasks from the maintenance register/log where required.
Key Accountabilities:
1. The upkeep of the outside space; to include grass cutting, tending to plants, general weeding of all areas (including car park, borders etc) & yard cleaning.
2. Carry out general building repair & maintenance such as painting & general maintenance, repairing/painting of windows & doors, changing of locks, basic plumbing & small leak repairs, painting & decoration.
3. Interior moves including desk/chair moves etc (but not limited to).
4. Ensure that work practices comply with the requirement of Health & Safety at Work Act & the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.
5. Liaising with Business Assurance on housekeeping audits ensuring that all recommendations are implemented.
6. To understand & comply with the Company Business Management System, Quality Manual, Company Procedures & Standards relating to Production tasks.
7. Liaise & communicate effectively with all site & other personnel, upholding the Company Culture & Values at all times.
8. Lead excellent working practices, including:

2. Data protection & information security.
3. Customer focus.
4. Team Behaviour.
5. Housekeeping.
6. Continuous improvement.
7. Compliance with the Company’s Business Quality Management System.

About you:
Competency Requirements
Essential:
* Diligence: Dedicated to learning, building knowledge & experience within the environment. Ability to meet the maintenance schedule within the time allowed. Ability to meet & wherever possible exceed quality with zero defects or errors.
* Critical Thinking: Ability to learn to identify problems & finding ways to resolve them. Ability to learn & gain an excellent knowledge of Health & Safety in the Workplace.
Desirable:
* Good Time Management.
* Positive & enthusiastic team player.
Technical / Professional Qualifications Required
Essential:
* A good standard of secondary education.
Desirable:
* GCSE above grade ‘C’ in English, Maths & Science.
