Veritas are recruiting for a primary school in Burnley who are seeking a passionate and experienced Year 4 Teacher to join their dynamic team from January 2025. The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Key Stage 2 teacher to lead a Year 4 class with a high proportion of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those eligible for Pupil Premium. You will play a key role in shaping the learning experiences for our pupils, ensuring they make excellent progress despite the additional challenges they may face. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on subject leadership responsibilities, allowing you to further develop your leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a Year 4 class, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning.
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of children with SEN and Pupil Premium.
Support and develop the inclusion strategy across the school, with a particular focus on pupils with additional needs.
Take on a subject leadership role, overseeing the curriculum, planning, and assessment in a specific area (to be agreed upon based on expertise).
Collaborate with other staff members to create an engaging, positive learning environment.
Use data effectively to track pupil progress and implement interventions where necessary.
Work closely with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress and development.The Ideal Candidate:
Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly within Year 4.
SEN Expertise: Strong understanding and experience working with children with SEN, including those with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
Subject Leadership: Experience or interest in taking on subject leadership responsibilities and driving curriculum development.
Commitment: Passionate about inclusive education and raising the aspirations of all pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Adaptability: Ability to differentiate teaching and provide tailored support to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
