If you have access to the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border with that experience, read on and APPLY TODAY THE ROLE; Our client is looking for a Head of Engineering, to guide and develop 3 managers and their teams across the maintenance engineering, production engineering and injection moulding divisions of this heavyside construction products manufacturer. As Head of Engineering, you will develop and implement engineering maintenance strategies to drive operational excellence and reduce downtime. Your role will include maintaining the technical quality of all engineering projects by setting up and enforcing quality assurance processes, setting a high standard for the engineering output and ensuring it meets the relevant legal, industry and Company criteria. As Head of Engineering, you will drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across all areas of maintenance and engineering. You will lead resource allocation to meet demand, supporting manufacturing operations to maximise production output. This involves careful planning and decision making to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency within the engineering teams. You will set key performance indicators across all areas of engineering to ensure that all projects are delivered on cost and on time to the highest quality standards. As Head of Engineering, you will oversee delivery of the day-to-day maintenance activities and engineering projects, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity. You will control significant engineering projects, including planning and scheduling, and setting priorities. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, such as production, planning, procurement and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the manufacturing process. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing engineering teams in a manufacturing environment. You'll ideally have an understanding of and experience of working to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and experience of working with LOLER and PUWER regulations. A strong blend of technical engineering expertise and project management acumen and understanding of diverse engineering disciplines. Ability to balance a high level of innovative change with the operational need to deliver excellent uptime and performance. Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and implement effective solutions. Proven experience in developing and implementing engineering and maintenance strategies that drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives. Strong leadership and management abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Choice of Electric or Hybrid company car, such as Tesla, Skoda, Kia Sportage OR car allowance of £6600 per annum. 6% employer pension contribution. 25 days holidays, rising to 28 days with service, plus 8 Bank holidays. 2x death in service.
