Job summary This post is a full-time position based in the inpatient trauma and orthopaedic (T&O) team at Good Hope Hospital. The successful candidate will have exposure to a caseload including (but not limited too) primary THR and TKR surgeries, complex arthroplasty revisions, day surgery procedures such as ACL reconstructions, upper and lower limb ambulatory trauma, spinal cord injury, acute fractures and general medicine. It is important to note that this role does involve respiratory competencies as there is an expectation to contribute to the respiratory on-call service, treat ward-based chest patients, and post op ITU T&O patients. There is also an expectation to contribute to the evening day case rota which covers until 8pm. We welcome applications from experienced Band 5 physiotherapists who want to develop into a more senior role. We also welcome applications from existing Band 6 physiotherapists wanting to build on their T&O skills. There is also an option for a progression Band 5 to 6 post with Band 6 competencies to be completed within 6 months of commencing the role.
