A secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from March until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled teacher to deliver engaging lessons in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Food Technology, inspiring students and helping them develop key culinary and theoretical skills.
The school is open to taking on a candidate immediately, with an official contract start date of 21st April or September 2025.
* Teach Food Technology across KS3 & KS4, ensuring students gain both practical and theoretical knowledge.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
* Encourage students to develop their creativity, technical skills, and understanding of nutrition and food science.
* Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed in practical lessons.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Contribute to the wider school community, supporting extracurricular activities where possible.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Food Technology Teachers (QTS/QTLS preferred).
* ECTs looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive school environment.
* Unqualified teachers with relevant teaching experience in Food Technology may also be considered.
* Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
Immediate start available for those ready to begin teaching right away.
Official contract start date of 21st April or September 2025, allowing for flexible arrangements.
