2 x 37hpw posts available You will oversee and coordinate a diverse portfolio of studies, including complex ones, across all phases currently delivered by the CRF. Your daily responsibilities will encompass the entire research process: evaluating patient eligibility for trials, screening and recruiting participants, obtaining informed consent, performing study procedures such as venepuncture and cannulation, and managing study data. A crucial part of your role will be to support patients and their families throughout this process. The Clinical Research Facility (CRF) and the Research, Development, and Innovation Division are entering a period of change, making this an exciting time to join the team. Our goals include increasing the work we do with industry sponsors, starting the implementation of our strategic areas, ensuring research recruitment is to time and target and increasing the number of participants in research studies within NHS Highland. You will report to the Lead Research Nurse but must possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently. The ability to plan and prioritise your workload to meet performance targets and deadlines is essential, as are strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset. Key Duties of Job You will have involvement in and responsibility for all aspects of the research process from setup, study activation, recruitment, follow-up and completion to include study query resolution, data cleaning and communication with sponsors and study sponsor representatives. Clinical duties will include assessing patient suitability for trials, screening and recruiting patients, obtaining informed consent for research, performing study procedures to include but not limited to venepuncture and cannulation, administration of IV investigational products and managing study source data. A key aspect of the role is supporting the patient/participant and their family throughout the research process.
