Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cellular/transplant nurse to join the cellular therapy team. The post holder will be managed by the Lead Ambulatory Haematology Nurse and supported by the Haematology Matron and Cellular Therapy & Transplant Programme Director. The post holder will have managerial responsibility for the two band 6 CNS's. The post holder will also be responsible for coordinating the treatment pathways for patients requiring CAR-T and Haematopoietic stem cell transplants within the Cellular Therapy Program at UHL, ensuring the provision of effective and specialised care to this patient group whilst working in close conjunction with the cellular therapy consultant team, lead haematology ambulatory nurse and apheresis coordinators.
Main duties of the job
1. To lead clinically in the development and coordination of pathways for patients undergoing autologous/allogeneic or cellular therapies such as Car-T.
2. Responsible for ongoing development and dissemination of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.
3. Accountable for safe, effective clinical practice working as part of a specialist team, supporting individual and team performance, ensuring efficient and effective use of physical and human resources, and provide/deliver a range of educational and training resources to health care staff and patients.
4. Manage a caseload of patients/clients referred for cellular (CAR-T) therapy and act as a resource for patients, donors and their families, the multidisciplinary team and primary healthcare teams.
5. Support the accreditation process to maintain JACIE standards and actively participate in the quality management programme.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse Level 1
* Degree in Health Related Subject
* Masters Degree or educated to Masters level through education
* Recognised Teaching and Assessing qualification
* LCAT Assessor
Experience
* Extensive Post Registration experience in Haemato-Oncology including HSCT and Cellular Therapies
* Clinical Trials/Research experience
Communication and Relationship skills
* Demonstrates evidence of strong leadership
* Organisational ability
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Presentation Skills

* Able to work autonomously
* Relevant clinical experience in transplantation and cellular therapy
