Astute's Power team is partnering with a biomass power station which is operated by a leading O&M service provider who look after a number of plants in the UK. We are looking to recruit a Fuel Handling Technician to join the Operations Team.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Fuel Handling Team Leader you will:
Safely operate the fuel handling and by-products plant in a safe & efficient manner, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental & operational processes at all times.
Carry out all required loading & unloading activities on site using a variety of plant including overhead grab crane, counterbalance FLT and front loader.
Conduct periodic checking of the fuel to monitor the quality, ensuring compliance with pre-defined specifications and monthly audits.
Support the wider operations & maintenance team with adhoc activities to maximise plant performance, efficiency and availability.
Support with planned outages on site when required.
Ensure all work is documented in the sites CMMS.
Adhere to all company policies & procedures, ensuring a safe working site at all times.
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
Ideally qualified with a minimum level 3 in a relevant Engineering field (qualifications below this may be acceptable if accompanied by suitable experience).
IOSH managing safely or similar HSE experience
Trained to operate heavy machinery such as Counterbalance FLT/ Front Loader/Telescopic Handler and Overhead Grab Crane
Full UK Driving licence
