About the Role:
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will be working on our retrofit programme within the social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams. You will support high standard Site Management activities for Planned Works Programmes to Housing properties, delivering best in class customer service, and satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the management of the day-to-day operational delivery of planned work/s contract and all associated staff, ensuring contractual KPI targets are achieved and maintained.
* Check the quality of work in line with building regulations and standards.
* Oversee internal and external works, including wall cavity insulation, new windows, doors, storage heaters, and roofing, including scaffolding within tower blocks and working at heights.
* Support the management and monitoring of work programme progression and completion via ongoing site visits to ensure works are adequately resourced, effectively delivered to set quality standards, and completed on time and within budget.
* Ensure regular communication with the line manager on site progress, advising of issues that may impact/change the contract programme and record as per company standard operating procedures.
* Assist in the management of sub-contractors, ensuring compliance and adherence to H&S regulations, Mears standard operating procedures & values, quality assurance accreditations, CDM, and the company's commitment to best practice with legislation and codes of good working practices relevant to all work activities.

* SSSTS OR SMSTS
* EWI experience
* Knowledge of PAS 2035 domestic retrofit
* Asbestos Awareness
* Working at heights / scaffolding
* Managing, monitoring, recording, and reporting of Health & Safety and compliance
* Knowledge of internal or external refurbishment works
* Interpersonal and communication skills
* People management with the ability to lead & mentor others
* Strong customer focus
* Problem solving & results oriented
* Planning and organisational skills
* IT literate with good written & communication skills
