Person specification
Education/Training/Qualifications
Essential criteria
* FRCS (Tr&Orth) or equivalent
* Full registration with GMC
Desirable criteria
* Higher academic qualification (MD, MS, PhD)
* CCT or equivalent in trauma & orthopaedics
Work Experience
Essential criteria
* Recent experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices
* Minimum 6 years postgraduate experience including 4 years as an orthopaedic trainee in an approved training post, or equivalent.
* Clinical and operative experience in shoulder and elbow surgery
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Essential criteria
* Evidence of recent CME/training progression for stage in career
* Ability to inspire, motivate and develop junior medical staff
* Ability to work independently as well as part of the MDT
Desirable criteria
* Experience in audit relevant to shoulder and elbow surgery
* Experience in participating in and publishing scientific research
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
