You should have excellent technical knowledge with qualifications in engineering, media/broadcast or similar and a good knowledge of OBs and live sports broadcasting.
Your tasks will include:
1. Covering video and audio signal quality
2. Camera racking
3. Communications
4. Links
5. Rigging
6. Testing
7. Establishing external feeds
8. Troubleshooting
You will support the Guarantee Engineer and Unit Manager on-site, and assist other members of the crew to ensure delivery of a high-quality service on race days.
With knowledge of HD-SDI, key broadcast and electrical supply systems, and IT skills, you must be able to work under limited supervision in a high-pressure environment. You must also be prepared to travel and to work evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
A full driving licence is essential with an HGV licence highly desirable. An interest or knowledge of horse racing would also be an advantage. You must also reside within 30 minutes' drive of one of the chosen bases.
