Earning between £18 - 23 an hour delivering learning 1:1, you’ll build incredible relationships and inspire young people to achieve their goals. Often our students are disengaged from education and this is your opportunity to show them how amazing learning can be. Learning can take place anywhere the student is engaged, safe, motivated and provoked into discovery.

The Expectation

* You'll have a good understanding and experience working with Secondary age young people.
* You'll have experience working with young people with PDA and have a good knowledge of strategies and techniques to support those with it.
The Role
* Developing strong professional relationships with the children and young people who have complex needs and have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings.
* Deliver planned learning through a range of creative and interest based activities.
* Understand the importance of emotional regulation and can implement strategies to support/model this appropriately.
* Have detailed knowledge of attachment disorder and how this impacts students.
* Following the guidance in each person's individual risk assessment/student plan to support them to manage their anxiety and behaviour in a positive way and to keep them
* and others safe.
* Utilise a range of strategies in supporting the range of additional needs we work with.
Student requirements
* Our student is looking for a mentor that is kind, patient and a good listener.
* They would like someone with an interest in music, fashion, loves cats and enjoys making bead bracelets!
* Some one that is chatty, but not to loud and understands her PDA.
