Healthcare Support Worker - Outpatients Services
The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust
Our Trust provides outpatients clinics across a number of sites, covering a vast number of specialties from paediatrics to elderly care, general surgery, breast, oncology & minor ops.
This is an exciting time for the outpatients department as we improve the service for our patients and the organisation.
Our health care support workers are an integral part of the team that delivers services to over 300,000 patients per year. As an organisation, we have a very active research & development Team, supporting patients in clinics for regular follow-ups, especially within Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, and Oncology Services. We have also recently opened a purpose-built fracture clinic at PAH.
We welcome applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who will be encouraged to develop within this role by working towards gaining the Care Certificate, a nationally recognised qualification. You will gain hands-on experience, supported by our Practice Development Team and our experienced Outpatient Team.
We encourage informal visits to the department where we would be delighted to show you around.
