Job summary Cellular Pathology is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated and conscientious member of staff who is able to work alone and enjoy working as part of a friendly and professional team, providing an efficient, effective and comprehensive service. Suitable candidates must be HCPC registered and take part in the Cellular Pathology management team, assisting other Senior BMSs, Lead BMS and Head BMS to maintain the UKAS accreditation status the department has achieved. Assisting in day-to-day management and directing established workflow practices in individual laboratory sections to ensure an efficient effective and comprehensive service in the Cellular Pathology dept. Main duties of the job Act as deputy to Senior BMS Responsible for the day to day workflow management within the section they are rota into, managing break times and work allocation to members of the team, adapting as required Quality Assurance of any tests leaving the laboratory to ensure they are of a high standard and requesting repeat of any tests failing this criteria.
