Job Title: Apparel Product Developer Salary: up to £33,500 depending on experience Location: Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham Working Hours: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week (Permanent, Full Time) Benefits: Company Pension Scheme, flexible hours, opportunity to work from home on occasion. Key Responsibilities: Product Development: Lead the end-to-end development process for apparel collections, from concept to final production, ensuring alignment to tech pack requirements and lead times. Technical Specifications: Working with the team to create/amend detailed tech packs, including garment construction, fabric, trims, and measurements. A strong garment construction knowledge is required. Factory Communication: Manage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of samples and production orders. Detailing clear sampling and bulk manufacture comments. Sample Costing: Liaison with factory for sample and bulk production costing. Creation of costing sheets to send to clients. Client Liaison/Technical Sales: Serve as point of contact for new and existing clients, regularly communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide solutions. Develop and maintain client relationships. Sample Review: Check samples against tech pack and pattern requirements and create full sample reviews outlining any concerns. Relay any issues to the manufacture team and discuss solutions. Ensure high quality levels of factory workmanship are maintained. The above highlights the key responsibilities of the role.
