The Froglife Trust is a national wildlife conservation organisation with a specific focus on our native reptile and amphibian populations and their habitats, see www.froglife.org. We have expertise in creating and restoring wildlife sites across the United Kingdom, and for delivering a creative and educational programmes of public engagement. We are in the process of developing a new project in Yorkshire, called Coalface to Wildspace - Yorkshire, an area where we have worked on previous projects. We aim to achieve landscape scale habitat creation and restoration across seven cities in Yorkshire and surroundings (Doncaster, Sheffield, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Selby, Barnsley, and Rotherham), creating and restoring 60 ponds and improving 47 surrounding terrestrial habitats for the benefit of amphibians and reptiles and a wide range of other wildlife. To encourage widescale community engagement, particularly with communities currently under-served by the Heritage Sector, we will deliver a comprehensive educational, enjoyable, and inclusive programme of activities, including: Wildspace Neighbourhood Wildlife Corridors Wildspace Digital Wildspace Speaking Statues and Wildspace School Parades Wildspace Wildlife Gardening Workshops Wildspace School Parades Wildspace Amphibian Hops, activities for schools Wildspace Festivals The National Lottery Heritage Fund is funding the development phase of the project and we are seeking to recruit a Fundraiser to gain co-funding required for the delivery phase of the project. During the development phase, the Fundraiser will focus on securing the required co-funding from private individual donations, corporate sponsorship for the project, commercial income and organising a fundraising appeal. The Fundraiser will support the Froglife staff in securing the required co-funding grants from Trusts and Foundations. The delivery phase of the project, if successful, will be mainly funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund at approximately 71% of total costs, with the balance of approximately 29% derived from other sources of funding. The Fundraiser’s target is £105,000. There is a total budget for the Fundraiser of £18,200 VAT if applicable, based on a daily rate of £350 x 52 days.
