Department Profile
The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products, Securitized Products, and Municipal Securities. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.
Position Description
We are currently seeking interested Vice President level candidates to join our newly formed Institutional Securities Group Credit Structuring team based in London. The team in London will work closely with the team established in New York and will be a Centre of Excellence for European Credit Structuring across Corporate Private Credit, Asset Backed Finance and Corporate Securitisations and structure transactions involving on- and off-balance sheet debt, subordinated debt, preferred equity and/or warrants. We are looking for individuals with an analytical background and experience in both corporate and asset-backed markets to provide structuring capability for solutions in the fast-developing Private Credit markets.
Primary Responsibilities
* Promoting the Securitized Products and Private Capital Markets businesses to Morgan Stanley clients, investors and internally
* Acting as team lead on structuring Securitized Products and Private Capital Markets transactions
* Establishing and maintaining appropriately targeted client relationships and differentiating Morgan Stanley through proprietary content
* Ensuring efficient interaction and close collaboration with key stakeholders across the firm and globally
* Co-ordinating transactions internally
* Building relationships with clients and representing the business unit externally
Skills Required
* Strong academic background coupled with a track record of success in Securitized Products and/or Private Capital Markets
* Experience with institutional clients
* Strong analytical and modelling skills – proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to effectively prioritise and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented and team player
