We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our team and support children with SEN, some of whom may display challenging behavior. Role Details: Position: Sports Coach Contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent based on candidate performance and requirements. Location: Chorley, Lancashire Hours: Full-time, term-time only Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging sports sessions tailored to the individual needs of children with SEN. Promote physical activity and teamwork, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Manage and support challenging behaviors with patience, understanding, and effective strategies. Build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents to enhance the children’s learning and development. Collaborate with the school team to create and adapt activities that align with the children’s abilities and interests. About You: We are looking for a candidate who is: Confident, empathetic, and enthusiastic about working with children with SEN. Experienced in coaching sports or physical education (formal qualifications are advantageous but not essential). Able to manage challenging behavior effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment. Flexible and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of the children.
