We are currently working on behalf of a true market leader within the manufacturing space with high ambitions to take their business forward in regards to efficiency, quality, and customer service. Their facility in Luton, Bedfordshire is looking to begin their long-term vision to increase their efficiency and quality on site to result in a higher level of customer satisfaction.
With this in mind, they are looking to add a mechanical bias Maintenance Engineer to their structure. Their primary role will be to assist in driving equipment efficiency, ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum. They will be the sole senior engineer on site, so will be relied upon for their engineering expertise.
Roles and Responsibilities for this Maintenance Engineer Role:
1. Carrying out reactive maintenance and PPMs.
2. Using your mechanical skill set to improve equipment efficiency.
3. Diagnosing faults to find root cause of breakdowns.
4. Support continuous improvement projects on site.
5. Managing on site contractors and engineers.
6. Work efficiently with the production team to minimise downtime.
7. Promote the company values and comply with the Health and Safety standards.
Skills Required to be Successful in this Maintenance Engineer Role:
1. Mechanical bias with ability to isolate and fault find electrically.
2. Apprentice trained background within a manufacturing setting.
3. NVQ level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
4. Manufacturing industry experience working with welding/fabrication equipment.
The Package for this Maintenance Engineer Role Includes:
1. Basic Salary of up to £45,000.
2. Working week of Monday - Friday (Early finish on Friday).
3. 20 days Annual Leave.
4. Company Pension Scheme.
