Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) Programmer/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both online and offline programming and will have extensive experience with Fanuc-controlled machines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Programming & Setup: Program, set up, and operate VMCs to produce high-quality parts.
2. Online & Offline Programming: Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using both online and offline methods to enhance efficiency.
3. Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy in production.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and measurements to maintain strict quality control standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
5. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure timely completion of projects, sharing insights and feedback to improve processes.
7. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on VMCs to keep machines in optimal condition, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
8. Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and suggest improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in VMC programming and operation.
2. Strong knowledge of Fanuc control systems.
3. Ability to program both online and offline.
4. Familiarity with machining processes and quality control standards.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
