Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs. The role of the Healthcare Assistant is to join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to these young people, using your knowledge and skills to help them along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant at Emerald Place Clinic, you will be responsible for ward rounds, analyzing behaviors and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. You will be working in a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. However, it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Qualifications
* No specific qualifications are required, but experience as a Healthcare Assistant in the UK is preferred.
