Strood Academy is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Family Liaison Officer. This is an integral role within our pastoral team, offering the successful candidate the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and their families.
As a Family Liaison Officer, you will work closely with the wider Academy team, including those responsible for Behaviour, Safeguarding, Attendance, and Personal Development, to ensure our students are supported both in and out of the classroom. Your role will be a mix of office-based administrative duties, such as managing records and supporting attendance and behaviour tracking, as well as hands-on, face-to-face engagement with students and their families.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Recent experience of working with young people or families.
A calm and composed persona, with the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and sensitively with both parents and students.
The ability to analyse information, develop strategies, and follow through on tasks to completion.
Good IT skills to manage records, attendance, and behaviour tracking.

This is a permanent role, offering an actual salary of £20,875 - £23,352 per annum (£24,404 - £27,269 full time equivalent), commensurate with experience and based on working 37 hours per week, term time + 1 week of inset.
