About the role
As a Student Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day support of students—helping them engage in learning, develop communication and life skills, and experience success through a highly individualized, sensory-based approach. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with complex needs.
* Assisting with communication, personal care, physical needs, and sensory integration.
* Adapting learning resources and activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
* Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to support holistic development.
* Using strategies that promote emotional regulation, independence, and confidence.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Student Support Worker you will:
* Experience working with young people who have SLD, ASC, or PMLD (or a similar background in care, support, or SEN education).
* Demonstrates a calm, caring, and adaptable approach to support.
* Understand the importance of non-verbal communication, sensory needs, and structured routines.
* willing to support with personal care and physical support where necessary.
* Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is happy to undergo a new DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* Experience working with young people who have SLD, ASC, or PMLD (or a similar background in care, support, or SEN education).
