Position: Print Estimator
Location: Cheshire
Salary: £30k - £35k
The Role:
• Cost Estimation: Provide accurate and timely print cost estimates based on project specifications, including materials, labour, equipment, and other related costs.
• Client Liaison: Work directly with clients, sales teams, and production teams to gather and confirm project details, including artwork, design, and delivery requirements.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of current pricing structures, market trends, and supplier relationships to ensure competitive and profitable estimates.
• Vendor Coordination: Source materials and obtain quotes from suppliers, ensuring that the best quality at the most competitive prices is selected for each project.
• Project Support: Collaborate with the production team to identify potential production challenges, suggest improvements, and ensure that estimates align with manufacturing capabilities and timelines.
• Quote Management: Prepare detailed written quotes for customers, ensuring that all necessary information, including production timelines, delivery, and payment terms, are clearly outlined.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience estimating, preferably within the commercial or digital print industry.
• Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Communication and Customer Service Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using estimation software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.
• Organisational Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Numerical Aptitude: Strong mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations and pricing analysis.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues early in the process and find effective solutions.
