Financial Reporting Planning Manager 9-month Fixed-term Contract Location: UK flexible Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (national) £60,000 - £70,000 (London) We have an opportunity for a Financial Reporting, Planning Manager on a secondment basis. This role has a broad reaching profile and presents an opportunity to build a vast network across IWR Finance, including reaching into other teams such as Tax and Investment Reporting. You will have the opportunity to interact at all levels up to senior director and you will also need to build a strong relationship with teams within IT which are an important and integral part of the financial reporting cycle. This role would suit someone who is organised and can organise others as required to drive solutions to issues. You will be curious and comfortable asking probing questions. Please note that this is a 9-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension. A bit about the job: Using your excellent communication and influencing skills you will operate across the IWR Finance team, and beyond, to produce an agreed working day timetable plan for the quarterly financial reporting cycles (IFRS and Solvency II).You will be comfortable challenging the status quo and in seeking opportunities to improve the IWR financial reporting processes which are ultimately delivered to numerous stakeholders (e.g. Group, the regulator, Finance Business Partnering). You will work closely with the Process Manager supporting delivery of the planned financial reporting activity, facilitating solutions for issues encountered and shaping & conducting the Post Cycle Reviews which lead to delivering our ambition of continuous improvement. Skills and experience we’re looking for: You will need to be competent with Excel and producing & presenting MI in a format suitable for senior stakeholders. You will produce the working day timetable plan for the IWR quarterly Financial Reporting cycles (IFRS and Solvency II) by working collaboratively across IWR Finance. You will support the on-cycle delivery of this plan of activity, supporting issues resolution, post cycle reviews and continuous improvements. Experience of using JIRA is desirable but is not essential. Comfortable stepping in for the Process Manager as and when required, there are no direct reports for the role holder.
