The Project Delivery Manager – PCO Expansion will manage and coordinate projects and work packages to deliver the design and construction of the PCO facility expansion, maintaining a high accuracy of delivery, cost, and quality. Working with the Head of Delivery – PCO Expansion and the RRSL Infrastructure design and construction Partners, you will integrate design and construction to deliver the PCO expansion through build, commissioning, and handover. The opportunity will allow the successful candidate to be a key stakeholder in setting annual and long terms priorities for the Infrastructure Delivery Business Unit (DBU), with accountability for budget, and on time delivery in support of capacity expansion for SSN-AUKUS.

What you will be doing:
With this exciting opportunity you will:
1. Shape and implement the delivery strategy for PCO Expansion. You will define and acquire the means to achieve the project requirements, delivering high quality project outcomes on time, and to budget.
2. Work closely with the PCO Expansion Building & Infrastructure (B&I) Project Lead to integrate design and construction to deliver the PCO extension through build, commissioning, and handover to meet the Project and Infrastructure Programme objectives.
3. Develop and maintain project artefacts to deliver the requirements of the Project & Programme, ensuring the full scope is delivered through all associated projects and work packages.
4. Be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting Project performance, providing critical assessment of underlying project variances and the impact on the Project outcomes. You will ensure corrective actions are put in place to deliver key performance milestones.
5. Manage change to the baseline scope of work during design, build and commissioning of the PCO facility projects utilising allocated and/or undistributed budget and robust risk management principles.
6. Lead a multi-disciplinary team of design, construction, and B&I specialists, focusing on collaboration and development of the RRSL Infrastructure business unit strategic partnering approach. You will hold our partners to account for delivery against agree milestones and KPIs defined within the parameters of the NEC4 contracts.
7. Develop / implement Project Management good practice and provide guidance to all teams to enable them to manage projects effectively using the correct systems / tools / methods.

You will:
8. Have experience of delivering infrastructure projects, or other major projects where integration of a multi-disciplinary team was essential, in a challenging environment. Your experience will include a working knowledge of all stages of a project’s lifecycle with a track record of delivery of one or more of those stages.
9. Be able to build strong relationships across different functions and organisational boundaries, and influence key stakeholders who often have conflicting priorities by clearly articulating the situation in a constructive way.
10. Be someone who wants to grow, learn, and share their knowledge and experience, whilst also embracing the use of a high performance and situational leadership team-based culture.
11. Be bold and agile, deploying innovation and creativity to improve our chances of delivering better, quicker, faster, whilst having fun and staying safe.
12. Be degree qualified or have equivalent industrial experience. You will ideally hold a Project Management qualification and have knowledge of NEC4 contracts.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
