Akari Care is seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join their award-winning care home in Llanrwst. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, nutritious meals that cater to the individual needs and preferences of the residents, while fostering a positive and engaging dining experience.
Main duties of the job
As the Cook, you will have the autonomy to create menus, plate up, and arrange food trolleys in an attractive way to stimulate the residents' appetites. You will be a pivotal link between the kitchen and the serving areas, playing a fundamental and integral part of the care team. Your role will involve coaching and developing a team to create ideas and see them through as part of their personal growth. You will need to demonstrate a caring nature, the ability to lead by example, and a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of the residents.

What we require from you:
* City & Guilds 706 1&2, or equivalent (achieved or working towards)
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Head chef or Head Cook experience with similar environment/surrounding
* Supervisory or Line Management experience
* A caring nature to give everyone a personal approach
* Proven ability to lead by example, motivate a team and delegate effectively
* Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice
* Warm, approachable, and engaging persona
* Respect everyone, treating others as you would expect to be treated
* Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents

Qualifications
* City & Guilds 706 1&2, or equivalent (achieved or working towards), and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Previous Head Chef or Head Cook experience in a similar environment, as well as supervisory or line management experience, are also required.
