Job Description
Buckles Law is recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Legal Secretary to join the team in our Stamford office on a permanent contract for 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be working across a variety of legal disciplines, requiring a strong understanding and sound knowledge of the key requirements for a Legal Secretary role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide seamless legal services to clients and support a team of lawyers and secretaries.
* Create invoices and credit notes and complete monthly expenses.
* Send client receipts of monies paid by card.
* Carry out audits on lawyers' files to ensure compliance with AML and SRA regulations.
* Amend documents and letters and keep the document management system updated with any changes in client information.
* Provide efficient diary and email management.
* Manage communication with internal and external contacts, ensuring the HODs are informed of all matters.
* Prepare correspondence when required.
* Work with BigHand for any dictation requirements.
* Provide ad hoc personal administrative assistance to all.
* Cover other areas of support when required.
Requirements:
* A highly organised individual with great administration skills.
* Ideal candidate has 12-months experience of working as a Legal Secretary.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
* A good understanding of word formatting, track changes, etc.
* Ability to perform well under pressure to meet necessary deadlines.
* Demonstrate and maintain a calm approach.
* Ability to be resourceful with good time management skills.
