We are currently seeking a trained Oral Language Modifier Invigilator to support students in exams at a secondary school in Salford. This role is essential in ensuring fair access to exams for students with specific language difficulties, following JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations.
As an Oral Language Modifier Invigilator, you will be responsible for rewording and clarifying exam questions without altering their meaning, helping candidates understand what is being asked while maintaining the integrity of the exam.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rephrasing exam questions in a way that ensures clarity for the student
* Ensuring all modifications comply with JCQ guidelines
* Supporting students with language processing difficulties, hearing impairments, or EAL needs
* Working under strict exam conditions to maintain fairness
* Collaborating with exam officers and the wider support team
Requirements:
* Must be a trained Oral Language Modifier with a valid certification
* Experience working with students with additional needs in an exam setting
* A strong understanding of exam regulations and accessibility requirements
* An enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one
