Department overview: The Tax Team are managed by the Tax Director who reports directly into the group’s CFO and leads a high profile tax function based in the Flutter Group’s offices in London, Dublin, Leeds and the Isle of Man. The Group operates in a wide number of international locations. The Tax Team works closely with the business to manage the Group’s tax affairs. Our Tax Technology team plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and optimising tax processes through advanced technological solutions. Role Overview/Purpose: This role will be primarily responsible for assisting the Tax Technology team manage the groups ERP systems from a tax perspective. As part of your role, you will work closely with teams across Group Finance, the finance systems team, and other key stakeholders in the business such as members of the IT and data teams, as well as Finance teams in the Group’s overseas jurisdictions. Specific Responsibilities: Act as main tax contact for the groups ERP system. The group is looking to migrate from Oracle EBS to Oracle Cloud Fusion. Input tax requirements into ERP workstreams within the finance transformation project, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines. Work with the Head of Tax technology to define and deliver a specific roadmap aligned to ERP to deliver a best-in-class tax reporting and data. Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the ERP system to ensure it meets tax compliance and reporting requirements. Work closely with finance, IT, and tax departments to identify system requirements, design solutions, and customize ERP functions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the tax function, leveraging ERP capabilities. Ensure the ERP system supports accurate and timely tax compliance and reporting, adhering to local and international tax regulations. Stay updated on the latest tax regulations and technology trends to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive. Continue to develop skills in areas relevant for the tax technology team such as AI, Data science, RPA and Machine Learning. Assist in the development and implementation of tax technology solutions with the rest of the tax technology team. Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to maximize the effective use of the ERP system. Education, Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax technology, ERP systems, and project management, with a proven record of leading large-scale ERP implementations. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP,) and tax software solutions. We are a Oracle house so Oracle experience is preferred Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Use of low code tools such as Alteryx or UI Path would be preferential but not essential Understanding of general accounting principles and good commercial awareness essential Behavioural competencies: Collaborates - Is a team player and works with others across the business to get things done Communicates Effectively - Communicate effectively across a range of channels and non finance audiences Nimble Learning - Is agile and flexible.
