Due to the growth of the business area, our client currently have an opportunity for an Electronic Design Engineer to join their Sensors Team.

What you will do
Supporting our precision guidance (PG) programmes, you will support new designs undertaking the following activities.
Requirement definition and support to generation of verification plans
Electronic design analysis, circuit simulation and prototyping
Electronic schematic capture and PCB layout support
Power supply and interface circuit design for digital processors and microcontrollers
High-speed digital designincluding FPGA, DDR and high speed LVDS video designs
Testing and debugging of electronic circuits
Development of subsystem engineering solutions and specifications
Cabling and connector specifications
Integration and Verification of System and Sub-Systems
Support to Qualification (including EMC)
Production and Delivery support

In this broad electronic engineering role, you will work across a range of projects throughout various stages of the product lifecycle from initial concept development through to early life production support and on to support of existing fielded designs.
What we need from you
What you really must have:
Knowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle
Experience of:
Digital & Analogue Electronic design knowledge
Board level PCB design (ideally using Siemens EDA Xpedition Enterprise)
Operating at the product system level
Specifying and defining COTS items
Working with subcontract suppliers
Specifying cable and connector solutions
System level integration
Ability to make technical decisions within own sphere of responsibility
Willingness to work proactively within a fast moving and dynamic environment
It would be nice if you had:
Safety, Security and other legislative constraints knowledge
Domain experience in Electronics Warfare and Thermal Imaging Systems
You must be capable of achieving full SC security clearance and will require access to caveated information.
