Job summary As a Clinical Co-ordinator for Covid 19 Vaccinations, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations. The post holder will undertake a clinical supervisory role, overseeing a team of Immunisers. Main duties of the job As a Clinical Coordinator the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations. The post holder will undertake a clinical supervisory role, overseeing a team of vaccinators. In particular, the post holder will be responsible for: Ensure the delivery of a safe immunisation service, assisting to influence and facilitate change within the setting and service areas. Provide supervision of clinical assessment prior to vaccination. Support the reviews of complex medical histories and potential adverse reactions and offering specialist advice as needed. Supervise the configuration of the vaccination settings This will include mobile units, pop up sites, care homes and patients own homes across the geographical footprint of the service. Undertake a clinical supervisory role, overseeing immunisers and administrators delivering asafe immunisation service, assisting to influence and facilitate change within the setting and service areas. Supervise the team to ensure appropriate pre-vaccination clinical assessments to confirm the correct vaccination, the consent agreements and consult on the provision of specialist advice on contra indications. Address any concerns that may arise regarding the vaccine and contraindications, escalating as appropriate.
