Building Surveyor A well-established Construction Consultancy are looking for an experienced and motivated Building Surveyor to join their growing team. Candidate Duties: Lead and manage building surveys, including condition surveys, measured surveys, defect analysis, and the preparation of formal reports. Undertake the Contract Administration and Employers Agent duties for various projects across multiple sectors. Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation for a wide range of projects. Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards and manage the submission of planning applications and building regulations applications. Provide expert advice on party wall matters, DDA audits, and aids and adaptations. Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Assist with the administration and management of major frameworks, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the growth and development of junior team members, providing mentorship and support as needed. Candidate Requirements: MRICS qualified or actively working towards RICS qualification (APC). Strong working knowledge of scheduling, specification writing, preparation of tender documentation, and contracts. Experience in undertaking Contract Administration and Employers Agent duties across a range of sectors. Proven experience in building condition surveys, measured surveys, defect analysis, and preparing formal reports. Experience with the submission of building regulations and planning applications. Knowledge of aids and adaptations, party wall matters, and DDA audits. Proficiency in AutoCAD and a good understanding of CDM regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
