Our client is a global materials company that has grown exponentially since their inception nearly 80 years ago. They manufacture and supply a range of customers across life sciences, academia, automotive, and oil & gas markets, amongst many others, with high-quality specialty materials. Due to the growth of the company, they are now looking to recruit an Account Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with existing customers to ensure they receive top-class service and utilize this service to grow and develop customer accounts.
2. Prospect for new business and close new sales.
3. Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry to sale.
4. Keep the company database up to date in an accurate and timely fashion.
5. Travel to customer sites across the UK when necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Ideally hold a chemistry or material science-related degree.
2. Come from a sales background with experience selling to automotive, oil & gas, academia, electronics, or environmental customers.
3. Good communicator with strong self-initiative, highly motivated, and organized.
4. Willingness to travel within the UK and attend the office in Huntingdon approximately 2 times per week.
