About us:
The Senior Research Support Officer role will join the research support team in the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience’s (IoPPN), a leading centre for mental health and neuroscience research in Europe. The role is based within the School of Academic Psychiatry and will provide high-level research administrative support to the school’s departments.
About the role:
The post holder will work closely with academics and researchers to manage the end-to-end grant lifecycle. You will be responsible for overseeing and actioning pre- and post-award processes to ensure awards are managed in accordance with funder and University policies.
This post will suit someone who has experience within research grant administration, good attention to detail, is able to effectively manage their time and can build and maintain effective working relationships across the School, Faculty and University.
This is a full-time post, and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
About you:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
* Knowledge and skills of research support acquired through relevant posts.
* Working knowledge of pre- and post-award processes.
* Working knowledge and experience of HR processes and regulations around the administration of fixed-term contracts.
* Experience of Worktribe, Unit4 Business World and PeopleXD or other university equivalents.
* Experience of budget management and proficient levels of numeracy.
* Relevant working experience of using Excel, Word and other Microsoft applications (e.g., SharePoint).
* Effective communication skills to receive, understand and relay complicated information.
* Effective at working independently and as part of a team, with an ability to show good judgement and common sense.
Grade and Salary: £38,482 - £39,132 per annum, including London Weighting Allowance
