Why Deliveroo?
Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops, and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.
We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.
The Role
As a Financial Accountant within our global reporting team, based in our London HQ, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for reporting on our Europe region of the business. This will include monthly reporting, working closely with the auditors and ensuring that statutory requirements are met. The role reports into the Senior Finance Manager for Europe.

* Report on each month end, post journals and work with our Finance & Strategy team on the finalisation of the management accounts.
* Perform monthly variance analysis of the P&L.
* Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving variances and identifying issues. Work with other teams within the business to ensure you have a thorough understanding of all postings going through our books.
* Work with the auditors throughout the year to fulfil their requests and answer their queries. Keep on top of local statutory requirements to ensure we are compliant. Liaise with the wider reporting team on processes performed at a group level, and take responsibility for specific processes as required.
Requirements

* A proactive approach; you should be motivated to take the initiative to make improvements.
* A desire to work in a fast-paced, frequently-changing environment.
