You’ll initially use AutoCAD and then receive training on their industry-specific software. You’ll join a small team - currently, there are four design engineers - and work closely with the two business owners, who have years of industry experience. As CAD Engineer, you will evaluate clients’ architectural plans and generate product scheme designs and calculations, ready to be quoted. You will liaise with clients over the phone and via email to confirm their project requirements, produce design proposals, input material take-offs into Excel, check and process material take-offs for ordering, generate U.Value calculations and condensation risk analysis, and process material schedules.
