Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) is excited to be looking for a Business Improvement Specialist to join our Business Improvement/Quality team in a dynamic and growing company.
TRT Ltd is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques. TRT is beginning to use more advanced technologies in its repair processes such as robotics, adaptive machining and laser deposition.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt accredited individual, who will focus on improving our processes using lean six sigma methodologies to improve productivity, reduce cost and increase performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop methodologies to measure productivity, performance and lead projects to make improvements.
* Deliver value to the business through facilitation of targeted activities including but not limited to lessons learned, value-stream mapping, rapid improvement Kaizen events, and identifying and eliminating barriers to continuous improvements.
* Take a structured approach to the identification and elimination of waste in our end-to-end processes to help improve cost, performance and productivity whilst upholding our quality and safety standards.
* Design and lead engaging cross-functional workshops as required and manage projects to deliver required improvements.
* Map and evaluate existing business processes, identifying key pain points and issues, measuring process performance through data analysis and quantifying improvement opportunities to support the business.
* Analyse costs and benefits of proposed changes to the business process to determine their overall impact on the organisation.
* Design, implement and monitor process performance goals and measures.
* Plan and manage project activities to time and budget, liaising with internal/external stakeholders as necessary.
* Re/Design end-to-end processes and define requirements to deliver the desired business outcomes.
* Prepare and deliver progress and management reporting as required.
* Any other duties that may be required by the Company.
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.
ESSENTIAL
* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt accreditation.
* Experience in delivering business improvements in a manufacturing facility.
* Ability to assess process performance and promote data-led decision making.
* Experience of deriving business cases for change and effective tracking of benefits demonstrating value to the business.
* Experience in organising, leading and facilitating multi-disciplinary workshops.
* Substantial practical business experience with a proven background in delivering value through process standardisation and optimisation.
DESIRABLE
* Aerospace component experience.
* Gas turbine knowledge/experience.
* Good understanding of project management methodologies.
