3 shift rotation (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am - rotating weekly)
U18 - 2 shift rotation (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)
Salary: Minimum Wage for Apprentices

The Role
The successful applicant will complete a fully accredited BTEC and NVQ Level 3 Engineering Systems – Electrical and Mechanical whilst gaining hands-on experience within a leading European company. There is also the possibility to gain a Higher Certificate or Foundation degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics.
We’re seeking an astute, ambitious Engineering Apprentice to join our dynamic team based in Pontefract. Operating on a rotational shift pattern, the Engineering Apprentice will work closely with the site engineering team, particularly the Maintenance Leads, to support and maintain key business systems on site.
As part of the formal Apprenticeship Scheme, this role will be based in our factory and involves supporting maintenance functions for production, IT, and other equipment as necessary.
The Engineering Apprentice will help establish Pontefract as the gold standard of departments, learning DMS techniques and championing them while coaching Equipment Owners to perform basic mechanical tasks. The apprentice will develop and grow, providing the Operations team with engineering expertise to reduce or eliminate downtime through reactive (resolving breakdowns), proactive (Planned Maintenance & defect close out), and Continuous Improvement efforts.
