A day in the life of a Kitchen Porter will involve:
* Keep the kitchen spotless Wash dishes, clean kitchen areas, and ensure high hygiene standards in all catering outlets.
* Support daily operations Assist with meal deliveries, clearing food, maintaining stock, and handling kitchen equipment.
* Be a team player Work closely with colleagues and learners, supporting them in the kitchen and fostering a welcoming environment.
* Follow safety and compliance Adhere to health, safety, and safeguarding policies while ensuring equipment and materials are used correctly.
To be a successful Kitchen Porter, youll need to:
* Previous experience in a kitchen or catering setting, with a Food Hygiene qualification and Level 2 literacy and numeracy preferred.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A strong work ethic, professionalism, and resilience, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
