We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Lindholme, a category C, men's Prison located in Lindholme.
Lindholme Prison is a category C prison based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, with a capacity of 1,010.
Hours
Full time 37.5 hours, working Monday to Friday 8-4 and includes some weekends.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
* Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed.
* Assess patient's health needs using an evidence-based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge, as well as open, maintain, close, and take part in reviews of individuals being managed under the Prison Suicide and Self Harm risk management system known as Assessment, Care in Custody and Teamwork (ACCT).
* Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.

Qualifications required
* Qualified Mental Health Nurse.
* Current NMC registration.
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
* Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions.
* Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse.
* Sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills including risk assessment.
* Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to gain appropriate level of consent.
* Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards.
