Vacancy Name: Senior Fixed Income and Derivatives Analyst
Responsibilities:
* Manage the investment risks of the portfolio of fixed income assets within the Shareholder / Non-Profit portfolio
* Oversight and challenge of appointed fixed income and derivative managers.
* Collation and production of monthly MI to support the shareholder/Non-Profit asset portfolio.
* Support ALM team to manage fixed income portfolio within Matching Adjustment fund.
* SME support for rates, credit and derivative risks and retained operations.
* Developing processes and procedures to ensure derivative operations are functioning within policy standards across appointed managers and retained services.
* Completion of weekly/monthly derivative reporting on liquidity, collateral and counterparty exposure, ensuring processes are managed effectively.
* Review and propose actions to meet Market and regulatory best practice across fixed income and derivatives portfolio.
* Proactively identify control weaknesses relating to asset and derivative risks, operating model and recommend and implement procedural and process change.
* Ensure end to end understanding of all owned operational tasks and how they relate and impact all processes. Ensure standard ways of working are applied consistently.
* Support the wider investment team & CIO as required.
* Comply with the FCA’s conduct (and senior conduct) and Consumer Duty rules and the PRA’s conduct (and senior manager conduct) standards.
* Notify the regulator(s) of matters reasonably expected to be notified.

Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience in the asset management/investment industry
* Excellent derivative and/or investment background preferably within a Life Insurance company, Asset Manager or Consultancy.
* Experience managing relationships with a range of third parties and Investment Managers, preferably external.
* Good knowledge and experience of life assurance and pensions business – understanding of bulk purchase annuities desirable but not essential.
* Good experience of the regulatory environment and industry awareness in the UK for life offices and working with the regulators.
