Job Summary:
* The purpose of the role is to effectively and efficiently manage all aspects of the depot operation and the depot employees, ensuring full legal compliance with health and safety, environmental and drivers' legislation, and Company processes and procedures. To implement continuous improvement practices and drive superior performance.
Job Duties:
* Efficiently manage resources to ensure that all deliveries are dispatched in a punctual and cost-effective manner whilst maintaining budgetary targets.
* Operate within a comprehensive Environmental and Health & Safety Management System that fully satisfies the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001 and achieves zero non-compliance.
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the vehicle maintenance contract, liaising with the dealership, fleet engineer, and fleet users to ensure service provision is to agreed performance standards and budgetary requirements.
* Maintain accurate records on the Logistics shared drive to provide clear, punctual, and accurate reporting on key performance indicators to the Senior Logistics Management team.
* Promote the Company's core values and behaviours.
* Coach and mentor supervisors to ensure they are equipped to fill the role in the Depot Manager's absence and to develop a succession plan for the Depot.
* Achieve a year-on-year reduction in variable cost per unit.
* Reduce damaged units in line with specified targets.
* Attain specified service level targets.
* Maintain above 99.5% Attributable Service Level through effective communication with all staff of expectations and targets.
Job Requirements:
* Must hold CPC in Road Transport (National).
* Knowledge of Operator License regulations, including driver license and driver hours' records.
* Qualified to basic level in EH&S.
* ILM would be beneficial.
* Sound knowledge of Tachograph legislation.
* People management experience and skills are essential.

Experience:
* Supervisory or management experience of working in a multi-drop environment would be advantageous.
